We bought a floor in an unauthorised space in delhi. We bought the fifth floor and was guaranteed by the building for approval of every basic requirements.
After three years by some hook and crook meters are getting approved for our place. But the problem with our building is that the builder not only sold us the fifth floor but also sold a small flat build in the parking area of our building. Now to get meter approved for our fifth floor we need to show the demolished parking flat but the owner is not negotiable. He believes that he can easily get meters approved for his parking flat leaving our entire fifth floor without ever getting the meter approved or basically illegal construction.
We are very stressed and don’t know what to do. The parking flat owner is over confident and believes his case is stronger.
What can we do? Is his parking small flat really strong and easy to get meter? Our buildings other flat owners are not interested in looking into this matter even if there parking problems. They are adjusting but don’t want to get in this matter .
So basically we are left alone to fight for our floor and it’s meter approval. We are mentally stressed and builder is ghosting us , not picking up our calls.
Will any legal action on builder build any kind of pressure on him? Or it is nothing for him and he can get away even by ignoring such legal actions?
What do we do? What power do we have to safeguard ourselves?
