Cancellation of agreement to sell

Here’s a concise and well-organized version of your situation: --- We entered into an unregistered sale agreement (Bayana) on 5th September 2024 with some property dealers and received ₹4.50 lakh as token money. Out of this, ₹40,000 was taken by the middleman acting as our property dealer, ₹50,000 was given via cheque, and another ₹5 lakh was also given through a cheque, which bounced twice due to “advice not received.” As per the agreement, ₹2 lakh was to be paid by 5th October 2024, upon which a receipt would be issued. After the cheque bounced, we sent them a 15-day notice. In response, they asked us to encash the same cheque and assured us they were ready to complete the registration with all expenses covered. However, we discovered that they were engaging in deceptive practices, likely planning to sell the property to another party for a higher margin. We communicated multiple times that we no longer wish to sell the property and offered to return the ₹4.50 lakh token money. Despite this, they began harassing us by threatening legal action and, before the final registration date (5th December 2024), demanded double the token money as compensation. On the last date, we visited the registrar's office, marked our attendance at the Subhida Centre, and got it signed by the Tehsildar. However, they failed to appear or make the necessary payments. We have heard they may have marked their attendance through a notary, but they are now sending people to our home, contacting our relatives, and pressuring us to proceed with the registration. We firmly reiterate that we do not wish to proceed with the sale and will not register the property because the price has raised but we can if it is the last option. Additionally, our brother, who is a co-owner, resides in the UK and is not in India to participate in any proceedings. How can we get rid of them According to the condition of the buyer backs out the token money will be forfeited and the last date to do registration was decided to be 5-12-24 but their was no clause that it will be cancelled please help We don't want to make it much longer we want to get rid of it fast
