Refund rights from an online career coaching services company based in Mumbai.

I am seeking legal guidance regarding a refund dispute with an online masterclass provider, *Career Branding Hub*, which offers coaching for building successful careers. Below are the details of the situation: I enrolled in their high-ticket 3-year program costing ₹3.5 lakhs after attending some low-ticket sessions and a free Bootcamp. The program initially seemed valuable based on the courses offered and the promise of access to 12 expert coaches over three years. However, since my enrollment in April, the program has failed to deliver as promised: only one expert coaching session has taken place so far. When I raised my concerns and requested a refund, I was informed that 5–6 sessions would be conducted next year. Given the current pace, I am skeptical about whether this will happen. Additionally, I was told there is a "zero refund policy," which contradicts verbal assurances given during the sales process and Bootcamp sessions that refunds would be issued if the program failed to deliver value. Here are specific concerns I’ve identified: 1. **No Formal Agreement:** No contract was signed, nor was an invoice provided for the payment. 2. **Payment Method:** Payment was made to an account shared via email, and the recipient appears to be a family member of the coach. 3. **Lack of Evidence for Promises:** While course recordings are provided, the sales pitches for the high-ticket program, where significant verbal promises were made, are not recorded or accessible. 4. **GST Inclusion:** I was informed that if I paid within three days, GST would be included in the ₹3.5 lakhs; otherwise, additional GST charges would apply. This feels like a tactic to pressure the payment without proper documentation.
