Mother Name written on my passport as per her Maiden Name Surname; Need to Update to her After Marriage Surname

In the year 2014, when I applied, to our Passport Seva Website, there were two places to write Mother's name. One Column Mentioned the Mother's Maiden name which means I have to write Her Name with her Surname Before the marriage, In my case My Mother's name was - Sumita Hazra (Surname Hazra Before Marriage), There was Another Column that Simply asked for Mother Name, As a result, someone should write His/her Mother's current name. In my case, My Mother's Name is:- Sumita Ghosh As a result of that time if you see, what Application Form was Generated after the Submission, the Mother's Name was written as:- Sumita Hazra (Though that form does not highlight the Mother's Maiden Name as Sumita Hazra, but at the time of filing it was Mentioned the Mother's Maiden Name). To prove my point I can provide you the Acknowledgement Receipt where It was Mentioned Mother's Name:- Sumita Ghosh. Hence Prooved, at that time there were two places to write the mother's name twice. My Old Application Form & Acknowledgment Receipt Captured mother's name with two surnames. One is Sumita Hazra (Before Marriage) & Sumita Ghosh (After Marriage) As a result, when my First Passport was issued, It came with my mother's maiden name printed on it. I had no issue with that, as I thought maybe it's the norm to Print the Mother's name with their Surname Before Marriage. I start realizing this issue at the time of renewal. Right now On the passport seva website, there is only one place to put my Mother's name (Not to mention my Mother's Maiden Name). As A result, I submitted the form with my mother's Current Name:- Sumita Ghosh. The problem started appearing when I visited your passport office as per the appointment. In section A, One of their Employees said:- You can't update your mother's name now, It has to be as per Old Passport. I explained to him whole. He said to update you need to give an advertisement to Two newspapers & Name Change Affidavit is required. Then He Updated my Mother's name from Sumita Ghosh to Hazra in my renewal Application & Took Signature of Mine. At the time of Police verification, I had to highlight the same to the Police officer. On my PAN card of my Mother, my father's Name is Mentioned as - Sambhunath Hazra. From there they verified about mother's Surname Conflict. But except that it's hard to prove my mother's name due to her maiden name printed on my Passport as My Mother's Name. I may face issues in verification abroad or somewhere else. When Everything is so transparent why do I have to give an advertisement to the newspaper about my mother's name change or do I have to file a name change affidavit? Here she didn't change her name. It's Our Old Passport Seva Website which asked the applicant to write Mother's maiden name on that time 10 years back. Many applicants unknowingly ignored the keyword maiden, they are not suffering, whereas People like me who provided exact details asked if they are suffering now. Plase give advice
