With regards the electricity connection
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a critical issue we are facing in the villa project where we purchased land and entered into a construction agreement with builder.
It has been over four years since we agreed to the terms, but the builder has failed to provide a permanent electricity connection as promised. Currently, we are dependent on a temporary connection, which is at risk of being disconnected by the electricity board by the end of this month due to non-payment by the builder.
This situation is causing severe distress to my family, particularly my wife, who is battling cancer and relies on stable electricity for her medical needs. Despite repeated requests, the builder has shown no willingness to resolve this issue.
We seek your advice on whether we can escalate this matter to the Consumer Court for deficiency of service or approach the Human Rights Commission, given the impact on my wife’s health and our basic rights. Your guidance on the next steps would be greatly appreciated.
