LG Refrigerator/Fridge: non repairable as per service centre: and asking for DEPRECIATION
I am writing to bring to your attention the issues I have faced with my recent purchase of an LG Refrigerator/Fridge (Model No. T342VPZX LG FF) from Dev Bhomi Electronics, Parwanoo, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, under invoice number DEV/0093/22-23 dated 25/02/2022.
Shortly after my purchase, I noticed water leaking inside the refrigerator. I used the ThinQ app to diagnose the issue, which indicated that the appliance was functioning normally. Based on this, I initially assumed that the problem might resolve itself. However, the issue persisted and gradually worsened.
I reached out to customer care (registered request no. RNP[deleted]), and an engineer was deployed to inspect the refrigerator. He recommended monitoring the situation and assured me he would record a video and escalate the issue to the company if the problem continued. After further follow-up, the engineer visited again, recorded a video, and forwarded it to the company office. He also mentioned that this particular model has exhibited similar issues in other cases.
Given this information, I felt deceived, having unknowingly purchased a defective product. I have always trusted LG for its superior quality and service, living up to its tagline 'Life is Good.' However, this experience has left me in a state of dilemma.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I have not received any satisfactory response from the company or the local engineer. I have contacted your local engineering office and followed up through your WhatsApp number, only to be repeatedly told that the replacement process is ongoing. This lack of action has caused significant frustration.
After weeks of waiting, I contacted customer care again and was provided with the contact numbers of the area manager and GSM. Despite being in contact with the area manager for the past 10-15 days, my issue remains unresolved.
They gave me offer: AS PER THE ENGINEER AND OUR TSC OBSERVATION, YOUR PRODUCT IS NON REPAIRABLE, SO DEPRECIATION POLICY WILL BE APPLICABLE FOR YOUR PRODUCT.
RETURN AMOUNT = 55% OF YOUR PRODUCTS BILLING AMOUNT AND UPTO 25% DISCOUNT ON NEW PRODUCT. OR 55% OF AMOUNT WILL REFUND.
