Employment bond at aiims bhopal
Upon my technical resignation from IIT Goa, I joined AIIMS Bhopal. I submitted a bond committing to serve AIIMS Bhopal for two years or pay a penalty of Rs. 2,00,000 on demand or as directed by the Institute. This bond was signed in the best interest of the Institute, likely to maintain the minimum strength needed to achieve its objectives. My position is administrative and not critical, and my relieving would not disrupt the functioning of the Institute, which already has a minimum strength in my cadre.
The Institute has not incurred any expenses on my training, and I have not received the benefits of my technical resignation, as the matter is still under consideration with the ministry. I have now been selected for a position at NIT Patna, which is about 25 km from my hometown. I informed both IIT Goa and AIIMS Bhopal about my application to NIT Patna at the time of joining. However, AIIMS Bhopal has stated that they will only relieve me after I pay the bond amount.
I have requested multiple times for a waiver or interim relief to pay the bond amount in installments, or to be granted a grace period of six months for the arrangement of bond amount while withholding all my benefits until the settlement, allowing me to relieve and join NIT Patna.
I am currently unable to pay this amount. Both my parents are dependent on me and are in poor health, and I also finance my siblings' education. My wife, who is employed by the state government, has been in her position for less than a year and has no savings to assist me during this crisis. My job at AIIMS Bhopal is non-transferable, while my wife’s job is transferable within Bihar.
I have approached several banks for a loan, including my salary account bank, but my requests have been declined due to an existing loan of Rs. 7,00,000. If I cannot resolve this matter, I will not be relieved from AIIMS Bhopal, jeopardizing my opportunity at NIT Patna, which is crucial for me and my family. My only option now is to consider a mortgage loan.
Please advise me on how I can be relieved from the Institute, as I am willing to pay the bond amount later.
