What are my options against the police?

I had filed a complaint on 18/07/2023 at Hulimavu Police Station, Bengaluru, regarding a money scam case that occurred on the previous day. It was my own fault. The police told me to register with the Cybercrime police as well, which I did. I used to to visit the station once every 1-1.5 weeks initially. I used to wait for 1-2 hours, meet the SI half the times (who would ask me to meet the officer in the IT section of the station) and usually, not get any update regarding my case and leave. Towards April is when I finally got any update from the Hulimavu police, that my money was already in holding (although I had received messages from the Cybercrime division that my money was in holding and that the case was being closed months ago). Over time, I reduced the frequency of my visits, because it was a waste of time. The officer in the IT Dept would tell me that there was no use in coming here frequently, would take my number and inform that he'll call if any update is available. Never happened. The first time I went after a longer delay (nearly 1.5 months gap), he told me to not take long breaks and he doesn't remember my case etc. As usual, he takes my number down and I leave. My issue is, even though the money which I have to get is in holding, I have a feeling I'll never get it if things continue the way they are. The IT officer keeps making excuses that he's busy and single handedly handling a lot etc. I asked him if I should meet somebody to speed up the process. He says no and to wait. Is there any advice from your side? What are my options, legally speaking? Being scammed was embarrassing and stressful enough, and then there is facing the police who taunt you initially and then, keep ignoring you and make you dance to their tune.
