Seeking Legal Assistance for Relationship Betrayal and Emotional Distress
I am writing to seek your guidance regarding a very distressing personal situation.
For the past 10 years, I have been in a relationship with a married man who promised to marry me. Over this period, I have discovered multiple instances of dishonesty on his part. Each time I confront him about his lies and broken promises, he deflects by suggesting that we "take a break" or focus on our careers instead of addressing the issue. His dismissive attitude has made me feel taken for granted.
His family is aware of our relationship, and throughout this time, he has attempted suicide twice for various reasons. This has only added to the emotional burden I’ve carried. Despite these challenges, I have continued to support him, but I now find myself trapped in a cycle of emotional distress, struggling with depression. Even though I have tried various therapies, the situation continues to affect my mental health. Furthermore, I have been forced to abort three times during our relationship. This has caused me immense emotional and physical trauma, and despite my efforts to seek therapy, the ongoing distress has led me into depression.
I am seeking your legal advice on how to proceed, as I feel emotionally and mentally cheated. I would like to explore any possible legal recourse to protect myself and resolve this situation.
