Can I argue my case with my lawyer?
I am a litigant in a civil case, there are some hyper technical issues in the case which calls for:-
(a) interpretation of some provisions of some acts in wider amplitudes, with support of
(b) relevant rulings of honourable Apex and High Courts. I the case, till now I have done all the research and presented all relevant material to my counsel and at times presented my points in front of honourable judge and almost all the times, the judge ordered in light of provisions and rulings presented by me, even mentioning those points and rulings in the order.
Now, the case is towards the end and at last most critical in-depth issue, even my counsel says that I can argue better and he will support me in arguments. My point is, what legal right, I have to argue my case by myself, along with my counsel, as for local customs and CPC rules, I need him, I focus mainly on merit points and interpretation of rulings and acts.
Which act or section gives me the legal right to argue my own case (along with my advocate)? Do I need permission from judge, can judge reject it?
