Company forcing me to serve 60 days notice period
Hello,
My company is forcing me to serve the 60 days notice period which is as per the Offer letter. However, in the Offer letter it is also written that company reserves the right to settle the notice period if not served by Basic pay and Priviliged leaves. I resigned from my position and gave them the notice that I will serve the notice period for 38 days and for the rest of the days, I'd like to pay with 15 paid leaves and paying the rest of money for 7 days.
HR and my manager verbally confirmed that from their end it's not an issue can do that. However, they keep saying VP of the company not allowing. I received email from VP that I need to serve 60 days of notice period.
If I do serve 60 days, I will lose the new opportunity. I want to pay for the remaining days of notice not served. Kindly help and suggest.
As there are verbal threats like someone at VP position can make me serve 65 days if he wants from my manager. It's on Microsoft teams chat as well and I have audio recording of conversation with HR where she said from her she can allow 5-7 days negotiation but VP not agreeing.
Everyone keeps saying, VP's ego will not allow and I should not talk to VP as he can destroy my career.
I want to leave and get my relieving letter. I am okay to pay for the notice period not served. Please suggest and share advice.
