On what purpoase can a bank loan recovery agent can visit a borrowers home

*Hi, I am from Chennai, Tamilnadu. I would like to stay anonymous in this forum. I am completely in a bad financial state right now. I have been working in a decent job for 18 years. I get loans and pay them on time regularly. In 2017 there was a drop in my career because I decided to work from home(this is before covid when work from home was not in trend). So my salary dropped. At that point, I lost all my savings. Back in 2016 I got a personal loan from HDFC and my monthly emi was Rs. 21865. I struggled to pay but I paid. In Nov 2018, I got a marriage proposal from a matrimonial website. Initially, I denied the proposal but he convinced me by keeping his mom on the call. As I had a loan at that point of time, I said I will be working till I close that loan ( I think 1.5 years remaining at that point of time). Initially he said he will close the loan, no need to go to work. Then I convinced him that I need to send some money to my parents. I cannot leave my job. Then also, he says, he can send 10K to my parents every month to take care of them . He claimed he has a clothing business in Dubai, he is settled in Dubai. His mom is living here in Chennai. Long story short, he started asking for a small amount of money saying that he lost his purse and all cards are gone. Later he asked me to put a loan and get money. He will pay the emi. He bought so many loans stating that he is going to sell his business in Dubai which is worth 2 crores. He cheated around Rs. 40 lakhs and absconded. In May 2022, he left with no communication. Later I came to know that he is already married and he just cheated me for money. He does not have a proper job. I went to a famous lawyer to get some suggestions. She said she can only handle post marriage issues. But she also mentioned that I believed him because he is good looking (after seeing his photo). Which is not true. She charged Rs. 2000. Anyways she referred another lawyer but he did not help me. Even if I go to the police, I would have to spend a lot of money. So I decided to pay the loans by myself. I am going on settlement basis with all the banks and closed RBL credit card, HDFC credit card, Amex credit card, Bajaj PL and in the process of closing Indiabulls. I still have SBI credit card, HDFC PL (my old one) and Bajaj PL loan. I am fed up right now and getting called by all of these guys. HDFC guys found our parents' place and visiting them every now and then. I am talking to them over the phone and already explained my situation. But I don’t know why they visit our mom’s home regularly. I sent email to the grievance multiple times stating that if they are visiting and torturing my mom then I wont appear on call. They keep silent for a few days and again visit our home. My complaint here is, Inspite of me being in touch with the bank through phone call I don’t know why are they coming to home without any notification.
