My issue is, as grandchildren, are we qualified to receive the remaining land?
Sir, My grandfather was granted 10 acres of land (Freedom Fighter) and a provisional 'D' patta issued (Andhra Pradesh). Mandal surveyor performed the survey and drew the bounds. On his second visit, my grandfather discovered that the borders had been adjusted and was informed by forest guards orally that 3.81 cents out of 10 acres had been incorrectly measured in the forest region, thus the borders were changed to remain at 6.19 cents.
Meanwhile, a revised 'D' patta was granted for 6.19 acres.
Due to my grandfather's persistent requests for a balance of 3.81 acres from the revenue department, the Revenue Divisional Officer sent a letter claiming that he had written a letter to the concerned Tahasildar enquiring about the Forest Department's acquisition of 3.81 cents of land
There has been no communication on this topic as of yet. My grandfather left a non-registered will indicating that all of the land should go to his nine grandkids.
As of now, all of the grandchildren are living.
