Consequences of breaking engagement

Hello to all, I was engaged in Feb 2024, to this girl residing in same city. We came to know about this family (girl's) through online matrimonial platform. I started my communication with girl from Dec 2023, over phone. The engagement was rushed by girl & her family on the pretext of girl's father's medical condition and upcoming surgery. Me & my family were pressurized to commence engagement on moral & sentimental grounds. After the engagement, I met with the girl 4-5 times over coffee/movie. No physical relation (sexual intercourse) was made between girl & me. As time passed I realised that there was nothing common between us, our mindset, approach, lifestyle, temperament were totally different. Also, certain facts/details about the girl & her family surfaced during our communication, that were questionable & objectionable. By mid July 2024, I decided to end this engagement and told my parents. My parents informed the girl's parents about the breakup of engagement. We will gladly return all the gifts/cash that were spend on the engagement party by the girls side in its entirety. We are willing to pay monetary compensation for all the damages (time, emotional, social image, etc) taken by the girl's side. No dowry was demanded whatsoever, or any condition put forth, or any demands/favour put forth till now from our side to girl's family. Note:- After knowing the temperament of girl, I know that she's vengeful type & will not rest easy after receiving the news of breakup. She also told me that consequences will be dire. Now, my concern is :- 1) What possible legal cases can girl's side file against me or my family ? (I've seen many advocate videos, where false cases of dowry, rape, etc were filed by girl's side for engagement breakup.) 2) What precaution should I take, to avoid such scenarios & avoid police intervention. 3) What if after financial settlement, the girl side files false cases. If police comes to home, then my family reputation will be tainted. I & my family are very stressed, please give legal advice for taking all possible precautions to avoid police & court.
