Child custody

I am an government employee and my husband is an ex service man, i am married to him since 13 years and have a girl child who's 12 years old. My husband never spend a single rupee for me or my daughter or for her education. I am bearing all the household expenses and education expenses for my daughter. He always use abusive word and physical violence is to the peak, because I of child's future I was bearing his torture all these years, since he was working in army , he used to come 3 months once and visit us, one month he will stay with us and get back to work. For that one month maximum torture will be given by him. Now that he took retirement, everyday he stated torturing. And started to hit my child and use bad words on her as well. I couldn't bare his torture, he pushes me to comit suicide, so that I will myself. His level of torture is unbearable. So i decided to file divorce. But now after I filed divorce case. He has filed custody of my daughter. I stay in Bangalore and now I have got transferred to Mysore. He has blocked the TC in school for my daughter and not allowing us to get the TC. I am helpless, i do not have any support, my mother is a widow. He is not letting us go. Kindly help me suggest what I need to do in this case. Will my daughter custody go to him?
