Unintentionally dual employment of 9 days in pf service history
I work in IT company. I started my career in 1 Sep, 21 as a trainee in my first company where i was not assigned the desired role due to which i search for some other opportunity and i received the desired role in my present company in 1 oct, 21 itself. I was completely new to the process of transition and since i was working from home, i thought let me first join the present company by having the first day virtual call and then give resignation to my previous (first company). I did the same, on 1 Oct i had call for onboarding in my present company and after surety i given resignation on 2 Oct to my previous (first company). Today i know this is not the correct process but that time i was completely new to the process of transitioning from one company to other and i made this mistake. After this, my previous company asked me to return the laptop on 9 oct. Now as i can check, they have recorded date of exit as 9 ct while joining date of my current cmpany as 1st oct which is leading to 9 days overlap. I need your help and suggestions on how can i remove this overlap from my service history. What if they taken any legal action against me.
