Unaware of adult toy import in india

Hi, I purchased a adult Toy online and I honestly never knew that these items are banned in India and that it's import is prohibited, and the laws about and related to import of goods to India today i have received notice from Bangalore. they ask submit doc through post 1.invoice 2. payment detail 3. kyc There is no mention about fine or hearing. I was completely unaware that importing an adult toy is illegal. The points stated are: 1. The addressee is requested to clarify the queries and support the required supporting documents to enable customs to process for further assessment and levy of duties. If no reply is received in 15 days, the article is liable to be assessed on merits, or confiscated or returned to sender with costs, as per the provisions of customs act, 1962 without any further intimation to you. 2. It is also clarified that incase of undue delay beyond 30 days, the assessment of goods will be completed based on the documents and information available on record with the department without any further reference to the addressee consignee. 3. The department reserves it's right to iniate action as deemed fit against the consignee/recipient or the person who replies, in cases where any suppression of fact, wrong claims, submission of fake document or misinformation, etc is noticed. As I came to know it is prohibited, I don't want the article and I will never try to order such thing. I don't mind the article being confiscated or destroyed. The letter does not mention any fine or hearing, etc. 1. From the above, I understand that if I don't reply, the item will be confiscated and the matter will be closed. Am I correct? 2. Does this create any remarks in my profile? Will I get into any trouble? 3. Will this come up when I undergo police verification, etc?
