Mr. Rajamannar, a judicial officer has entered service on 1980. His date of birth was
Entered in his service book as 24 June 1950 as given by him. During November 1998 he
made an application to, the Registrar- General of Madras High Court for change of his date
of birth as 24h June 1953. He has contended that due to wrong entry in the service records,
he would retire nearly three years before his actual date of superannuation and that the date
of birth as entered in his horoscope Should be accepted.the horoscope of his family members were made by his father on a note pad,on which an address and pin code were also entered. His application was not considered. He filed a suit before the civil court.on A suit,the lower court decreed in his favour and the high court dismissed the appeal made against the decree. Now an appeal is preferred to the supreme court and the same is posted for final arguments.Moot Problem-30
