(Name and DOB Changed for anonymity) - Mom's real name is Meerabai, and her actual date of birth is 01/06/1975 (let's assume they're correct, even though I don't have any official proof). - Four years back, after Dad passed away, dealing with the paperwork for insurance and pension was a real hassle. We managed to settle the claims, but the name and DOB discrepancies stuck around. - Initially, her Aadhaar card had her name as Meeru. But when preparing pension paperwork, the office flagged a mismatch in Dad's service register nomination, which spelled my mother's name as Meerabai, leading us to apply for updating her name on Aadhaar card to Meerabai. - Unfortunately, the guy handling the Aadhaar update messed it up, and now her name reads as Meerbai with a DOB of 01/04/1975 - The PAN card adds to the confusion, showing her as Meerabai with DOB of 01/06/1977. - On the RTC document for the land she owns in village, her name is Meeru (reflecting the original Aadhaar entry, as it was bought before my father's passing.) Some people have advised getting a notary affidavit mentioning all the above details. But, for things like linking Aadhaar and PAN, such affidavit won't work because the name and DOB have to match exactly, because online portals won't allow for linking due to spelling mistakes.
