Address issue for New passport application
My permanent address is X but my current address is Y since 6 months. Though due to hybrid work model I live at my permanent address for couple of months during WFH and couple of months in my current address during WFO. I do have rental agreement of my current address but all my documents are from my permanent address. I applied for my passport from my permanent address and since I live there for longer duration (WFH) I mentioned my current address also as X in the passport form and not Y. But in police verification it was a problem for them that I apply for the passsport from X address saying that I lived there only for 2 months (during WFH) which is not true since in past 1 year I have mostly lived at my home. They asked for wfh letter in first police verification which I provided them mentioning my 2 months of WFH, but it caused issue which I mentioned above. Now they are again doing the police verification and again asking for Wfh letter, but this time they want - when I did WFH and when WFO in past 6 months which I could not provide due to some reasons. But I provided my Y address proof also in case they want to verify both the address.
But now police says I can get blacklisted since I have current address as Y but I am applying for the passport from my permanent address.
Very confused about this, can someone suggest is it wrong to apply for a passport from permanent address if I have a current address but I have not lived there for very long. And due to hybrid model I applied it from permanent address since I live there for longer duration and it's easy to complete the process during that time.
