Supplier send misleading defective units
I made a wholesale purchase from a seller based in Delhi, 110005.
It isn't the money which is the problem, but the behaviour(lying and not taking responsibility) and attitude of the supplier. I have decided to teach such unethical practices a lesson.
It was 2 different design neckbands, 10 pcs each, total of 20 pcs for ₹5200+shipping charges.
1 design doesn't have in-built microphone in all 10 pcs. The box of the product clearly says "in-built microphone" and "hands free calling" which is false.
The other design has defect in most pieces.
The seller refuses to accept a return/refund and said "no guarantee for ₹200-300 product". He also said "you get what you pay for". I have screenshot of whatsapp.
He has his product listed with 6 months warranty in Indiamart(I have screenshot and screen recording as well). He has removed the warranty claim after I complain.
But he told me in whatsapp before the purchase "3 months warranty" instead of 6 months. Later he deleted the particular message but there is a chat where he described how to claim the warranty which reveals he agreed with warranty. I have screenshots and screen recordings.
After complaining on Indiamart, he even harass my account publicly saying "Fake user, Misleading consumers and seller. Ordering and comparing wrong"
My local lawyer has asked me to contact National consumer helpline which I did.
What can I do? I want to teach them a lesson. It is highly unfair to lie for profit.
Btw it is a business purchase, so I am not sure. I may not be a consumer by law.
