Didn't join 'HCL' but informed them on the same DOJ,now they are asking for 2LPA as recevery amount

My joining date was in May 2023 but due to some medical reasons i couldn't join HCL but informed HR and Reporting manager on the same date of joing in evening over email by giving medical issues.Before mentioned date,I uploaded all documents and signed the pre-formalities mandate docs that is 'Joining Docket' as Terms & Conditions of Employment Agreement . But on the mentioned joining date i was not available in HCL campus. So formally my joining was/is incomplete and as a responsible person i informed them over email and phone that i am not going to join HCL and request that please circulate the same message to other department also. But after that, HCL started to send me notice over email and postal adderss.After 3rd notice,they sent me a notice which says 2LPA compensation/damage as recovery amount i have to pay to them. I didn't take any electronic assests/laptop ,neither they provide any trainings.Didn't take any advantage of HCL instead of this i always replied them over email 2-3times whenever they sent me notice over email. Now its frustrating and mentally torchureed for me by HCL team.I already informed them still they keep sending me a notice at my home/ postal address and over my email which is unethical.I don't know what next steps should i can take for this coming out of the situation!. what action should i take against them.Please help and guide me Sir!
