Revision of Pay scales: Reduction in number of stages and decrease in Rate of Increment
I was recruited as Assistant Executive Engineer in Transmission corporation of Andhra Pradesh (APTRANSCO a wholly owned State Govt. Company) in the year 2019, with B.Tech Qualification. My pay scale while joining APTRANSCO is fixed as 60155 – 2485 – 65125 – 2900 – 79625 – 3335 – 92965, having 39 stages, with rate of increment as 4.13%, 4.45% and 4.18% at different stages and without any ceiling of upper limit. I have received my salary as per the fixed pay scale for a period of 3 years 8 months of service in my organization as on date.
Consequent to the revision of Pay scales vide T.O.O.(Addl Secy-Per)Ms.No.2924,Dt.[deleted]), Pay scale for AEEs is revised as 86245 – 2900 – 100745 – 3350 – 117495 – 3725 – 136120 – 4155 – 156895 – 4550 – 179645 – 4850 – 203895 – 5020 – 208915, having only 35 stages, with rate of increment as 3.36%, 3.325%, 3.17%, 3.05%, 2.9%, 2.69% and 2.46% at different stages and with ceiling of upper limit as Rs.2,59,895/-.
So my question is, is this revision of payscale legal? Shall I not have any right to the changes of pay scales?
