DME (Delhi Meerut Expressway) Challan

I am a student in Delhi and was travelling back home for the first time post my Dad Transfer to Ghaziabad (5th Reserve battalion CISF) on my two wheeler where I was fined Rs.20000 on 8/8/23 while driving my Two-Wheeler on the Delhi Meerut Expressway, The challan reads the fine has been imposed using Section 115/194 under MV act. This was my first offence and I had no idea about the restriction of two wheelers on the Expressway, matter of fact, As soon as I realized it by noticing the signs I tried to leave the expressway but couldn't find an exit and hence had to exit the expressway from an entry point where the traffic police personnel took a photo and I received an e-Challan the next day. As a student I cant pay such a big amount of Rs. 20,000 which is increased 20 times from Rs. 1000 for the DME , however the MV act only stipulates around Rs. 1000-2000 fine. Is there any way to plead for a concession or anything of such sort, I heard Lok Adalat is a way but I have never been to court and I don't know anything about the technicalities of how to approach a court or file a case, I am also scared of being charged a whole lot from lawyers when I actually am trying to get a concession on my challan. Can anyone please guide me through it.
