Contribution towards the installation of new lift in a cooperative society 40 yrs old

Contribution towards the installation of a new lift in 4 floor society building apartment of 72 members. Dear All, I am a resident in an apartment building of a co-operative society in South Kolkata.My flat is at the ground floor of the 4 storey building in the society. Each floor is divided into 2flats whereas a group of 2 flats per floor has a separate entry then the other blocks as well. Suddenly pandemic in 2020 the occupants of the 3 flats of 3rd floor, 3 few 4th floor and 3rd floor people decided to get a lift installed in the building by voluntarily discussed about lift installation (Please note - the co-operative society is not doing any benefits for other problems that we r facing )This was something decided by few of the flat owners, which gets pass-on to the others and to which all agreed to, resulting installation of the lift. The money is being demanded from the flat owners Rs.90,000/- each flat in instalments of 15000 per month. The scenario here is - Since I reside om the ground floor and many people even in 2 nd and we have merely 15 stairs for is to climb from the ground to reach my flat even less for ground (5) disapprove the installation and do not want to contribute to it as it is utter useless for me to have a lift installed for such a short distance. Now, the society is forcing me and rest 22 flat owners to pay our share of the money for the lift before me doing my other repairs and health obligations. Do the society has power to do so? Is there a way for me to avoid such expenses forced on me due to the whims and fancies of few others? Few people in 4th floor given 1st installment.Please be generous and help me out to resolve the situation in my favor. All my thanks and best wishes to you all for your support.
