Seeking Advice on Employment Bond Obligation and Unreasonable Working Hours
I have recently become an employee of a company and have entered into a contractual agreement known as a bond, which stipulates a commitment of 2.5 years. In the event that I decide to terminate my employment prior to the completion of this period, I am obligated to pay a sum of 3 lakhs. Furthermore, the officially declared working hours of the company were scheduled from 10 am to 7 pm. However, the company consistently required me to work beyond these hours, extending my working day until 8:30 pm. Unfortunately, due to this excessive demand on my time, I found it necessary to resign from my position within a mere 3 months of joining. As a result, I have received a notice from the company, informing me of the need to remit the aforementioned sum of 3 lakhs. Given my current financial circumstances, I find myself unable to fulfill this monetary obligation. Consequently, I am seeking guidance as to whether there may be any viable alternatives or solutions available to me in this challenging situation.
