PIP issued to me after I emailed them regarding my Maternity Leave Application
Hi,
I work in a private company in Noida (Total no. of employees: 70). I joined this organization on 28th March 2023 and told them about my pregnancy in the initial stage of my employment. Early in this month, I emailed my reporting manager (who is a CEO) regarding my maternity leaves as I am planning to start my maternity leaves from 4th September. He has not replied on that email and the Director of the organization asked me to present the hard copy of my application to him. Since then, I am regularly following up with him as he said that he will sign the hard copy only and everyday I ask him if he is available to sign on my application but most of the times he doesn't reply or says that he is busy and I should ask about the same later on.
Yesterday, I got an email from my reporting manager (The CEO) that my performance is not upto the mark and I am being placed on a PIP for 20 days. Today, I have replied on that email and clearly mentioned that my performance was never un-satisfactory as all the tasks given to me were performed on time. I have also attached the required proofs on the same email itself.
Please let me know what should I do in this case as I don't think they will sign on my maternity leave application. It seems like they are planning to terminate me.
Please suggest a way out? What should be done from my end here?
