Car vs bike accident

One evening coming back from office alone, I was taking i turn from highway to approach road, while start turning an bike rider without helmet coming from service road at high speed hit my car and fell off. As i went to him nearby known people to him also came up and took him to hospital where it was found that his leg was fracture, while other relatives of him call the police and filed case against me. Now in court case, one of his friends say he is eye witness of accident in police investigation. I belong to a middle class normal person. The lawyers are mixed opinions, says we will proceed the case but "may" be sentenced for 2 yrs. It looks everyone is threatening me and feels in India it's crime to keep car as if bike hits you, you are the criminal irrespective of his negligence, lawyer and police just want to extract as much as possible from the car owner by threatening about his job and jail. It would be first hearing after a week. I had all my car documents and licence uptodate The biker had insta profile on his bike, in which he made stunts and rough driving skills. Will I be sentenced jail? How long I will be stressed for this mishappening? How to overcome this case. Should I pay him whatever he asks and go for settlement?
