Loan repayment in UAE
Dear Sir,
I was working in UAE for last 15 years and suddenly in the month of Sep-2022 I lost my job. I had taken loan in Apr-2021 in UAE. After job lost i continued payment of EMI from my savings and end of service benefits. I left UAE Feb-2023 as I'm unable to get new job and left with no money to survive in UAE. Till the date I left UAE I didn't missed any of my EMI.
Now, as I am in India, still struggling to find proper job where i can fulfil regular cost of living. Lending bank in UAE is sending E-mails and insisting for payment( pending amount to be paid is around AED 88000/ INR 20 LAC)
Here are my queries
1) What type of case UAE bank can file against me (I had signed security cheque at the time of applying for loan.)
2) Is there any provision that Case registered in UAE can be transferred to Indian court or any legal action can be taken against me by Indian jurisdiction?
3) Is pending repayment amount have any thing to do with follow-up and recovery process?
3) Can collection agents in India call my mother's number ( as i have provided her for verification at the time of applying for loan) or harass her for non payment of loan?
4) What about travel to other countries ( apart from UAE) for job purpose will impact my this?
5)How to settle my debt in India without any hassle?
Please advice and share your experience if any.
