Seeking guidance on job reinstatement after cancellation due to OBC certificate issue
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Suraj Bhatt, and I am currently residing in Mohali, Punjab. Although I am from Uttarakhand, I possess an OBC certificate from there, In which the caste mentioned "Ranwalta Jaunpuri Community" which is also listed in the central list of the Government of India.
On 26.3.2021, the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, released a notification for the post of fireman, In the notification did not specify that only OBC candidates from Chandigarh were eligible, therfore I fill the under the OBC category.
So I appeared for the exam and cleared it. Subsequently, I also Cleared the physical test. Finally, I was called for document verification, where the officials found fault with my certificate, stating that my caste was not listed in the UT Chandigarh list and they said to me that i will be counted as general.
On 1 Dec 2022, I received an email for an appointment letter (under the category of OBC)and then i accepted the job. However, after serving for almost one month, I received a notice asking me to submit an OBC NCL certificate and clarify my caste as per the UT Chandigarh list. I submitted the required documents as requested, but after a further three months, I received another letter informing me that my appointment was cancelled, and I would not be paid for the service I had rendered.
I am writing to seek your guidance on the possibility of reinstating my job. I believe that my OBC certificate from Uttarakhand is valid in center and center's rule are applied in all UT of India.so, I would be grateful if you could suggest any means by which I can reclaim my job.
Thank you for your time and attention.
