Male escort service legal in India?

Hi I am deeply embarrassed to ask this question but just for my knowledge and precaution I am asking this. Few days back I was contacted by some people running kind of escort services through a dating app. I don't know what came to my mind but I thought of trying out once. They said I have to pay some commission and then I can go. I paid the amount and then they sent me some details, claimed to be my clients. Then they started making some excuses that more clients are there and all and asked for more money. I paid that amount also but again they asked me some more money for some further process. I kept paying the amount they asked one after another until it reached my capacity to pay. I was hoping that I will get my money back but they were just bluffing and asking for more money in order to refund my previous money. At one point of time it became huge amount of money and I felt that I have lost all the money and will never get it back. Although I have not shared any ID or Document to them, neither I have met anyone till now. I just sent my passport size photo on whatsapp as they asked for their verification. I have filed a complaint through the banks for online fraud but I am not sure if I should keep it or take it back because I will have to file a complaint with cyber crime division as well and I don't want that this matter comes out publically as I am very young. Also, I am not sure if this falls within the legal domain to file a complaint.
