I have joined a company and discontinued from 2nd day as it doesn't suit for my work life balance. I have communicated it through my personal mail. I had a call and conveyed the same to my HR and HR agreed for it. But now they are harassing me to pay 6 months salary as the offer letter says below clauses
Six Months Commitment: You acknowledge that substantial costs have been invested in the selection
process and for training you and, as such, you undertakes not to resign from the services of the Company,
for any reason whatsoever, for a minimum period of Six months from the date of joining the services of the
Company. In case, for any reason, you resign from the services of the Company before the said period of
Six months, then you shall forthwith to pay three months' Gross salary (last drawn) being the compensation
for the monetary and non-monetary costs incurred by the Company.
Termination / Notice Period: We hope your association with us will be a very long one. However, this
association may be terminated by either party by giving three months-notice. However, in the event of
willful neglect of your duties, breach of trust, gross indiscipline, any other serious dereliction of duties or
other misconduct that may be prejudicial to the interests of the company, the company has the discretion to
terminate your services forthwith or with such notice as it deems fit and without any notice pay whatsoever.
The company reserves the right to pay or recover salary in lieu of notice period.
