Resignation during minimum employment period
I was going through my appointment letter and I noticed there's nothing mentioned what actions the company might take against me if I resign before the minimum employment period of 2 years -
"Considering the fact that the Company would be investing its substantial resources on the Employee, in Training and Coaching him / her for their technical job duties, in Communication and grooming him / her for dealing with the Company’s clients' and to perform duties towards the company, and several other areas, the Employee may resign from the employment/ appointment at any time after serving the minimum employment period by giving to the Company, a 2 months written notice to this effect, and such resignation shall be deemed effective after the expiration of the said 2 months. If employee is not able to serve minimum notice period of 2 Months or any part thereof by whatsoever reason, in that case he / she shall be liable to pay 2 months of full monthly salary as on the date of Resignation. "
I'd like to understand if it would be safe for me to resign before serving my minimum employment period?
