Passport/nationality issue

Hello, I am a citizen of India by birth. I had moved to Nepal after my 10th and did my college there and got married, acquiring Nepalese citizenship and passport. Later I got divorced and returned to India and been staying here for 5 yrs. In the time I was staying here I got my Aadhar and Pan card based on my birth certificate. I officially gave up my Nepali citizenship and passport and applied for an Indian Passport. While applying I did mention that I held Nepali citizenship/passport and also submitted my renunciation letter from Nepal (which somewhere mentions that I was born in Nepal). Now, my passport application has been put on hold and the officer says, I need to get the Indian nationality certificate and also get my 10th pass-out certificate reissued and submit to move the application forward. Can you please help me understand, what I need to do in terms of acquiring the indian citizenship certificate, as the information mentioned online is very confusing and what if i am not able to get my 10th certification reissued.
