Resignation as chairman of society. Procedure and responsibility after resignation.
I have resigned as chairman of society on 07.09.22 due to health grounds. I was not able to attend 2 monthly meetings of August and September 2022. The Committee members are not sharing the minutes of monthly meetings for Aug and Sept. Only on 27.09.22 it was informed on whatsapp by Secretary that my resignation is accepted by the Committee. The committee is not appointing/electing another Chairman. Therefore, what will be my responsibility and position now?
In the meantime, the committee is taking major decision of repairs and maintenance. Earlier, I have objected and requested the Committee to do expenses phasewise manner not at a time, as it will be financial burden on society members. The appointment letter given to the consultant is without my knowledge and sign. Further, procedure of tendering and giving scope of work by the Committee to consultant a separate technical group was formed without informing Chairman. Is it legal for them to take contract forward or otherwise? Please guide sought out so I should not be responsible in future.
