PG Owner not returning deposit amount
I went to live in PG for a month in Ahmedabad, I paid a token amount of ₹13,750 on the 10th of June, ₹8750 is the rent amount and ₹5000 is the deposit amount, They called me on 10 July and told me to leave the PG and handover the keys to caretaker, I was outside and couldn't reach PG as it was heavy raining on that day so decided to go in the morning and I leave on 11th of July. It was the rainy season so I decided to go by bus otherwise I usually travel with my two-wheeler. I gave my vehicle key to my roommate so that he can use it until I return to take it. I went after two weeks. after I came back home I called the PG office about my deposit refund and they told me we've noticed that you never left PG and you have been living for a longer time, I explained to them that this is some kinda mistake I wasn't living there I Just went to get my vehicle and had to stay there as it was raining the whole day. After I explained everything they told me that they'll enquire and let me know, After a week I called them again this time guy on the end wasn't the same one I previously talked to so he directly denied that you won't get any refund so again I told him my whole story and told him to pass a call to that guy I previously talked to so again he said to wait for the light bill to come and you have stayed on PG longer than expected to we'll deduct that money as well and I agreed to that, after a week I didn't got any response from them and I called them again but this time no one received my call, Want kind of legal action I should take against them I am not too much worried about the deposit amount I just want to take action against them because I know I am not the only one who's gone through this. Please suggest me a solution
