3 questions: salary account, mediclaim and leave quota
Namaskar sir/madam. my questions:
provided info: my employer is a private limited company. registered in mumbai.
Q1. lets say i have bank account in citibank. can employer say this:
"for fast payroll processing (or any other reason), we request you/ employees to open account in or provide account details of some specific banks." example icici, hdfc, kotak, sbi and so on.
or "we have decided to pay salaries only in some specific bank's accounts." example icici, hdfc, kotak, sbi and so on.
if not, we'll pay salary when you provide those account details/ we'll be unable to process salary OR any type of wording - polite or strict, but basically meaning this: "you have to give us this bank account details or we won't pay the salary". is this valid, is this allowed, is this legal. if illegal - what is the penalty. if yes or no, what is the exact link/ source/ section etc. in the law. that says this.
Q2. if ESIC is not provided, companies usually provide some mediclaim cover.
so, is it mandatory to provide mediclaim cover, is it life insurance and or health insurance, what should be the minimum sum insured, who all should be covered in it, is it mandatory to provide cover from date of joining/ irrespective of employee tenure. what is the penalty. if yes or no, what is the exact link/ source/ section etc. in the law. that says this.
Q.3 irrespective of what we call it: earned leave, privilege leave, sick leave, casual leave, covid/ sadness/ birthday/ anniversary/ personal/ menstrual/ maternity/ paternity/ anything leave: where can we find exact minimum number of leaves to be given to the employees. if given number is less, what is the penalty.
thank you!
