Passport Issue and Passport Handoverd to Police station around 8 Years back
I applied for Passport in March 2014. Birth Certificate must be compulsory according to the then Passport Rules and Regulation. Then a few days later I was given a passport. A week later, a letter came from our District SP police station. It was mentioned that the Birth Certificate you had applied for the Passport was fake and it should be submitted to the nearby police station in 15 days. According to this letter, I handed my passport and the letter to the police station at the nearby police station. They got all the documents and inquired me. I said that this is the first time my grandfather bought this birth certificate about 20 years ago and this birth certificate has never been used anywhere before. They then sent me that they were calling. I have not received any information about this. When I volunteered to inquire about it at the police station, it was revealed that the FIR was registered on June 2014 at Passport Act 12 (1) (B). They did not approach me regarding this FIR and did not receive any trial and punishment. Also, according to Passport Rules and Regulation, I knew that the birth certificate is no longer required to apply for a new password. Accordingly, I ask you how to handle this passport law.
