Recovery from employee post exit

Sir, I had lost my job with a reputed company as a result of layoff during 2019 covid lockdown.Thereafter i got a job with a food processing company in Aug 2020 at a very less salary for survival. Then when i got a better job,the new company required me to join immediately and since money was also important I took up the offer to join by giving a 1 day notice to my existing company which he refused to accept and started threatening me.The past company was supplying processe chicken on credit to hotels and institutions and the entire business was on credit. I resigned from job on Feb 9th and on that day some of the supliers had outstanding which they cleared on follow up the employee. Howerver one Hotel started playing around with payment and he did not clear the payment as on today. And my past company is threatening to file FIR to recover the unpaid due of the vendor from me.The company has not given me any appointment letter stating my appoinment or resignation clauses and no written ,expressed or implicit communication on credit payment or policies. Post exit the owner is accusing me of violations and asking me to pay for client default Can the company file a police complaint against me for recovery for non payment by a Client.Today i got a call from police station with a threat by the ex company owner to file FIR against me and send a legal notice to my current incumbent company. I have all proof communications which shows the client purchases and screenshots of payment follow and payment received from the defaulting client till the date of my exit.
