Staff Working under Pressure or Mentally Harassed by the Director (Shri G. Satyanarayana) -reg.

Respected Sir, With due respect, I am an Employee of the Directorate of lighthouses and lightships, Deep Bhavan, Port Blair. I want to draw your kind attention regarding the some major issues of the Directorate of lighthouses and lightships, Deep Bhavan, Port Blair. First of all I want to say that the staff including officers of the Deep Bhavan, Port Blair is working under pressure or mentally harassed by the Director (Shri G. Satyanarayana) The staff coming Early in the morning but going late to the home i.e. up to 8.30 to 9.0 p.m. daily, which is unnecessary harassed by the Director. The Director, recently came from Vishakhapatnam Directorate on transfer, just 4 to 5 months before, he settled his own family in Andhra Pradesh, so he is presently staying alone at his quarter, Lamba Line, Port Blair. He got frustrated at the his own Quarter in the absence of his own family, because of that reason he stays at the Office until 8 to 9 p.m. daily by disturbing forcefully all the Office staff to stay and work until he stays, even after the 8 hours of daily duty. The staff is suffering from time schedule they don't have enough time to spend with their family members or with their children's because of Director. Even the outsourcing staff is working under pressure, they can't work happily or freely, they stays at the office up to 8 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. daily, they are working by staying late hours at the office on fearing of removing from that office, also the Director made the same statement. Recently these type of problem is already occurred in which one outsourcing staff is removed from that office for not stays at the office after 8 hours of his/her duty. They are facing difficulties to reach on time for other home routine workshop. Recently, one the contractual staff is complaint on this matter in the Labor Commissioner’s Office. Second, the Director is not follows any Department of Personnel and Training Orders of Govt. Of India because no one raise the voice against his decisions, either by staff or by the public representative. The Director, fails to maintain decorum in the office. Every staff is working under fear and pressure. Third, one Permanent staff of Directorate of lighthouses and lightships Shri G. Keswar Rao, Lighthouse Attendant, being an operational staff of this Department is working continuously, the Director engaged this staff for his personal works (which is out of the nature of his duties) at his quarter, Lamba Line, Port Blair. From the year 2002 to till date 20 years is over, still he is working in the same place, in these 20 years so many Directors, came here on posting from other Directorate of under Directorate General of lighthouses & lightships, but all are fails to give transfer to remote Island, all these Directors since 2002 year are taking Personal benefits from him which is not at all a good practice in any manner.
