Covid 19 medical leave
Subject-: COVID 19 Leave /work related injury leaves from 28/07/2020 to 10/02/2021 (198 days)
Respected sir,
I Dr Abdulwaheed Mustak Nadaf IMO Grade II Dcbo in charge sangli doing routine opd in dispensary during covid 19 lockdown and serving medical services to ip’s and their relatives. On 27th July 2020 I developed fever cough and body ache, took some symptomatic treatment and consulted with MD medicine physician and was admitted for covid 19 treatment at Miraj civil hospital date 28/07/2020. I took discharge from Miraj civil and shifted to KEM HOSPITAL PUNE admitted on date 4th august 2020 and discharged on date 16th September 2020.
During my treatment at kem hospital pune I was diagnosed with SEVERE ARDS DUE TO COVID 19 PNEMONITIS ,SEPTICEMIA DUE TO COAGULOPATHY for which i was admitted in covid icu under dr pradip dcosta unit and I was given higher antibiotics ,high flow nasal canula, NIV, interleukin 6 inhibitor inj TOCILIZUMAB, inj remedisivir, inj teicoplanin, inj meropenem, donor covid plasma, immusor 5%, omegaven parenteral nutrition, inj heparin drip and inj clexan for coagulopathy, due to neuropathy and muscle weakness I was suspected of GBS GULLIEN BARY SYNDROM , BUT fortunately it was not the case and ruled out. Spirometry and physiotherapy given. Before discharge I had 1 episode of nasal bleeding/epistaxis in private nursing room of hospital which was controlled with local pressure and medications in spite of on inj clexan .
At the time of discharge my O2 saturation in room air was 95%, with severe weight loss and neuropathy, and unable to walk due to muscle weakness, breathlessness and resting tachycardia, for which I moved with wheelchair.
At home in isolation I was bed bound and uses wheelchair to move around in house for nearly 3 months. In October month I developed oral candidiasis for which I took treatment. I had resting tachycardia of 120 to 140 bpm, and I developed 2 episodes of tachycardia 150-180 bpm at home fortunately it resolved on its own without medication and life-threatening complications. I had severe anxiety issues many times during my home isolation. I had multiple joint pain. 1episode of vertigo developed in December month 2020. With support of my family I managed to walk with support and regained my muscle power.
I was following with dr Pradip D’Costa after discharge, I visited Miraj civil hospital on date [deleted] for medical fitness & I was issued the same and advised to join the duty onwards.
i was in covid icu for 52 days , after that i had neuropathy and muscle weakness and severe weight loss was on wheelchair for 3 months unable to stand without support. a total of 198 days required to recover from covid 19 sequely post covid syndrom.
but my office is giving only 45 days of work related injury leaves to me. and asking me to submit other earned leaves from my earlier service for deduction.
