Contempt of Court

Esteemed fraternity of legal professionals I am one of the 19 petitioners who have filed a WP(C) in Delhi High Court against the Regulatory Authority of Capital Markets and 9 other Respondents that constitute Exchanges/Depository/Clearing Corpn/Clearing Member and the Stock Broker whose collective Negligence and Non Compliance of the Rules of the Regulatory Auth.have helped Broker carryon wirh Fraulent Business and Malpratices and causing loss to hundreds of investors running in several hundred Crores Case was heard in Jan 22 and Notices were issued to all the Respondents to file their Counter Affidavits within 4 wks and Counter by us in 2 wks and matter was listed for March 22 Only R1 filed a Short Counter Affidavit that too 27 days late and just 1 day prior to the March hearing.Matter was heard on March dues to paucity of time. Till date no one has filed Counter Affidavit, Charges against the Respondents are Grave, backed with Evidence and properly Documented. Petitioners are mostly Sr Citizens, senior most being 85 yrs. DOESNT NON RESPONSE BY THE RESPONDENTS CONSTITUTE CONTEMPT OF THE COURT? OUR COUNSEL IS VERY PROFESSONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. BUT I HAVE SEEN THAT the COUNSELS HESITATE TO BRING UP THE ISSUE OF CONTEMPT OF COURT. HOW DO WE GET SPEEDY JUSTICE. Regards
