Vehicle Owner not providing Original RC
In March 2018, I purchased a 2 wheeler from my colleague. At that time the vehicle was on loan and the EMIs were remaining for 3 years. So we mutually decided that I will pay the EMI amount to him until the EMIs are over and then once it is over, he will get the NOC from the Bank, so that I can transfer the ownership under my name. I paid all the EMIs and also the EMI closure amount in August 2020 as the original owner was planning to move outside India. In 2021, he got the NOC from the bank, however, due to lockdown the NOC period was over (as it is valid for only 90 days from the date of issuing). Now it is about to be March 2022 and the original owner is in Canada. I have been regularly trying to contact him to get the Original RC and updated NOC from bank, however, every time I get the response, for NOC he will have to be present in India and he has lost the original RC. Now, I am stuck with a vehicle, whose ownership is not on my name and also the registration is of a different state. Can you please guide me how should I proceed further as I am tired of pursuing him and want to sort this out as soon as possible.
