Possibility of change in Date of Birth (DOB) after 30 plus years of clerical mistake

My real Date of Birth is 4-4-1974 but due to clerical mistake it got changed to [deleted] in 1988. In 1986 we were 2 students of same name like Y Kumar and same father name like B Ram in village school class 8 UP board. After class 8 in UP board, students have to choose stream, I choose Science stream and the other guy who was having same my name and same father name moved to Art stream. School Clerk made a big mistake here and changed our SR number (Student Registration Number /Chhaatr Panjikart Sankhya) and because of this my date of birth (4-4-74) went to that guy and his date of birth (30-12-72) came to me. I have given 10th board paper with this DOB and it got printed (30-12-72) in my 10th marksheet. I got to know this only when leaving that village school after 12th and going to get admission in Graduation. That time Clerk accepted his mistake and helped me to prepare the legal papers to get this corrected but it did not happen due to financial condition of mine and non awareness of DOB to me as a student. When I grow up with age, I started feeling depressed because of my DOB and when I think about it, it hurt me lot. Is there a way, I can get this corrected now? I have all papers like class 5th leaving certificate from Govt school where my DOB mentioned as 4-4-1974, legal papers that I got prepared in 1991, school application with sign from Principal where school accepted his mistake. Any way possible how can I get this corrected ?
