What are the consequences if I don't serve the entire notice and join another job before the notice
I am a fresher. I am working for Company C. I have been here for 4 months. I am still in bench training in software development. Recently, I got selected for the position of trainee security consultant at another company, company N. But I am falling short of 15 days of a notice period out of a total of 3 months notice at Company C, I have already applied for resignation.
I spoke to company C's HR for reducing notice. But they rejected that even though I am a non Billable resource. I clearly mentioned to them that I am ready for paying for the 15 days of remaining notice.
I explained my situation to company N's HR. They took my case as an exception and are ready to recruit me without a relieving letter since I am a fresher and the field is different, so no experience letter is required as well. They are ok if I abscond.
I have decided that my last day of working at company C will be just 2 days before the joining date of company N, which is still 15 days short of notice.
I will still try to get a proper relieving letter till then.
The termination clause of company C says: " three months' written notice or at the Company's discretion, payment of gross salary in lieu of notice "
My question:
In case my early release does not get approved and I am to join the company N before the notice period ends, what are the problems I might face other than the relieving letter?
I have PF and UAN numbers on the salary slip that I got from company C. I am aware that the PF of company C will still be active in the notice period.
Will it create a problem when starting a PF account at Company N knowing that I have started working at Company N before my notice period at Company C ends?
