Non compete agreement

A rival software company is hiring me for a client for which i have been working with in my current company. I have signed a non compete agreement with my current employer , so in case if i go ahead and switch my company and join the rival company are there any legal consequences that might arise. Here are the exact the wordings from the agreement Non-solicitation of employment with company’s client: You understand and agree that you will not approach the client or partner for employment (whether full-time, part-time, contract or any other kind) during the period of your deputation with the client (whether on-site or off-site) and for a period of twelve (12) months after the end of the deputation to the client project or within 12 months of your leaving the company, whichever is later. No Solicitation of Employees: You agree that for a period of eighteen (18) months immediately following the termination of your relationship with the Company for any reason, whether with or without cause, you shall not either directly or indirectly solicit, induce, recruit or encourage any of the Company's employees to leave their employment, or take away such employees, or attempt to solicit, induce, recruit, encourage or take away employees of the Company, either for yourself or for any other person or entity. Conflict of Interest: During the term of your employment with the Company and for a period of twelve (12) months thereafter, you will not engage in any other employment, occupation, consulting or other business activity directly related to the business In which the Company is now involved or becomes involved during the term of your employment, nor will you engage in any other activities that conflict with your obligations to the Company.
