Complaint against apartment association

Hello everyone, My Apartment association got the money transferred into from the builder, which i had paid towards first year maintenance, after getting the amount, they sent a notice asking owners that whether they want the amount to be credited against their unit or they would want that amount to be transferred into their bank account. They also mentioned that if we don't choose any option, by default, amount will be credited into our unit. Since i wanted the amount to be credited in my unit, i did not select any option. After the deadline to select the option got over, they sent another notice, saying that those who did not select any option, should now submit a signed consent form to get the amount credited in their unit. And when i questioned them about these misleading notices, they started saying that i am a thankless person and they are doing us a favour by becoming an association member and I should not question them. I had an argument with them over mail itself mentioning that they are wrong and should not create unnecessary rules to harrass the owners, after a couple of mail exchange, they replied that they are attaching this mail exchange against my property because i called them rude and asked them to resign if they are not happy. they told me to speak to society treasurer or legal team. Even after all this, i went ahead and submitted the consent to get my money back, which they are holding without any explanation. but now, they are not processing my request, and not crediting the money. What would be the next steps for me, how can i challenge them for keeping my money illegally and then threatening me for asking questions to them. I have both the notices as well as mail exchange as proof.
