Compensation Case for Road Accident

Dear All, I am Rohit Sharma residing at Indore(M.P.). On 11.June.21 I was traveling from Indore to Nagpur (Maharashtra) along with my family. When we were 50 kms short of reaching Nagpur, my I20 Car got disbalanced and slid down from the highway and got stuck up in mud. In this accident my entire family was safe. To reach Nagpur I took a taxi (Mahindra Xylo) from nearby and shifted my luggage into that vehicle. Also my father and daughter were there in that taxi while me and my mother were standing beside the highway. At the same time one 4 wheeler (Creta) came and crushed my mother and also crushed that taxi vehicle( Xylo) . I immediately took my mother to hospital and later due to multiple fractures in her knee she got operated on. That accident took place in taluka place which is 60KM from Nagpur and 550 km from my actual/permanent residence. I wish to file a case against that Creta driver for compensation and hence wish to know following things : 1) Is there any impact on strength of the case if I file it from Nagpur( which 550 km from my residence district) or from my residence district i.e. Indore. 2) If I file this case from that Taluka place (Which is 550KM from my residence) how many times I should visit to court during proceedings 3) FIR has been registered by that Taxi (XYLO) owner against Creta owner and reference of my mother's accident was also mentioned in that FIR hence A) Should we file an additional FIR or that FIR will be sufficient for our compensation case B) Local police said that there will be only 1 FIR for a case hence 2nd FIR can't be logged and reference of my mother's accident is already there in that FIR. 4) Local police have given the FIR copy to me however they are not ready to give an acknowledgement copy of my statement given to them. Will this be required ? Should I send my statement with a registered post ? 5) What are the sections in which we should file this case to have maximum compensation . My wife who is working with a Bank now should take sabbatical leave to take care of my mother. Can I claim her salary loss in compensation?
