Threatened to resign after I mailed CEO to give me adequate hike on the basis of my performance

Hi wanted to highlight that I have been working in a startup for 11 months now and was a consistent performer there as I got 2 certificate of excellence in the same company 2 times. They have not provided me with the adequate hike this year and when I asked to give it according to my performance they are refusing it. Therefore I have drafted an email to CEO stating that I wanted to get my salary package revised according to the market as i am underpaid to which he replied definitely and forwarded mail to my manager.for the same. Discussion happened and I was not satisfied with the manager's proposal and again I drafted a email to CEO that I am seeking reasonable salary with revised package but I didn't looped in my manager. Now, I got a call from my manager who said you are not supposed to talk to CEO directly(although it is normal for me to call him sometimes for work related things though) and now my manager wants me to resign from the company without any valid reason by saying that mailing to CEO is not allowed and I have broken that policy. I am in dilemma that what should be my next course of action? Should I give my resignation letter or should let them get myself terminated on irrelevant points? Please advise me on this and also I donot have that much money so that I can file complaint against the company.
