Personal loan default /banks threatening

Am a teacher working in a school in Bangalore from past five years. Due to harassment of husband I had agreed to get him personal loan. He had got an agent to home and applied loans in multiple banks. I got loans from banks in to my account and my husband transferred everything. For nearly eight months we paid the loans. From past ten months, my husband left me and am living alone with my son managing all expenses as a single parent. Due to moratorium I was excused and again banks started asking for payment. I couldnt make payment as I had to repay hand loans and manage my expenses and son fees. Now banks are sending collection people near home and threatening me that they will bounce my cheques and file case against me. meanwhile this month I lost my job too due multiple health issues the school politely told me to resign. I approached all the banks and requested tie till I find a job and that I will try to close loans one by one. But banks are thinking am cheating them . They would bounce my cheques and file case under some sections. Am already fighting for my life as a single parent. Unable to take up these talks from banks as they are very new to me. Kindly advice as am highly disturbed by the proceedings. I cant even afford to pay fees to any lawyer to take up case if they file one against me..
